First up on my current favourite things has to be these wedding flowers from my bestie’s wedding – just look at them! My photo doesn’t do them justice but they were simply stunning – wow, just wow!
Secondly… it’s officially Autumn guys! Hoorah! Although the days now start to get shorter, there’s something magical about this time of year and I feel very lucky to live in a country that experiences four very distinct(ish) seasons.
My hubster and I (not forgetting the pup), had a romantic getaway this weekend in honour of our fourth wedding anniversary. We didn’t go too far, just down the road in fact, but got to stay at the beautiful dog friendly hotel Hare & Hounds, on the outskirts of Tetbury.
Westonbirt Arboretum was literally on our doorstop so we had the perfect place to walk off all the food we enjoyed over the course of the weekend. Although quite early the leaves were just starting to change, with hints of Autumn around every corner. Here we also discovered Bowser is petrified of heights (note to self – do not take dogs over the treetop walkway!)
With each new season I like to try something new and last night I took part in my first Brush Lettering workshop at Meggies in Stow-on-the-wold hosted by The Paper Hare. Safe to say I loved it! All I need to do now is practise and what better time to start a new hobby than when the nights start to draw in.
Hello Autumn – I’m totally ready for you!
