I ordered it months back and it was the first thing I bought for my new home, which I moved into in July. I have literally been waiting on tenterhooks for it’s arrival having lived with the same small IKEA table for the past twelve years!
Handmade to order, and with an added delay, the eight week turnaround became an antagonising three month wait.
I bought the table on impulse from a gorgeous homeware shop called Old Mother Hubbard based in the lovely village of Nailsworth. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would look great in the space. With a bench on one side and five seperate chairs, the table will comfortably seat eight – perfect for some long overdue dinner parties!
The copper pendant was a moving in present from my mum, purchased from Shine lighting and had been on my hitlist for a while. I’m a huge fan of the copper trend and love the way it can create bold design accents within simple interiors.
Next on my list: shutters for the windows, fake animal hides for the bench and a statement centrepiece for the table…
